Tours of the UK was established in 2018 by Henry Fox-Davies, an avid lover of all things historical who studied at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and University College London. After graduating from the University College London in 2008, Henry went on to work in various jobs before discovering a
Late in 2018, Henry was put in touch with the grandson of a long-time family friend, a theatre writer, actor and (sometimes) tour guide, Dewi Evans, who agreed to add an element of theatricality and storytelling to the tours that Henry was looking to develop. In 2021, life pulled Henry in a different direction, and Dewi became the sole owner of Tours of the UK.
Using his experience as a site-specific and site-responsive theatremaker, as well as a lecturer in Culture, History, Heritage, Performance, and Theatre Studies, Dewi has brought an accessible academic approach to the tours, as well as an understanding of how storytelling and performance skills make for the most engaging, interesting, and unquie tours.
Today, Tours of the UK has guides in Caerdydd/Cardiff, Wrecsam/Wrexham, Oxford, and London. Our tours take place across the UK and range from pre-made tours to custom itineraries, which are created in consultation with our customers.
